South Florida Peacock Bass

Peacock bass fishing in South Florida is awesome this week as my customer ray Rubio of Philedelphia can attest after two days of bass fishing. On day one we went to Miami and fishing for Peacock Bass with Ray Sr. & Ray Jr. and the three of us landed 42 Peacock Bass up to 8 lbs. Ray Jr. caught a 5 lb. beauty and this nice 8 lb. fish. The state record is just over 10 lbs. On day two Ray Jr. and I fished on the lake Ida chain of ;lakes in Palm Beach county and caught somewhere around 100 largemouth bass up to 4 lbs. What a great way to start of the fall season here in South Florida.

Florida Everglades Bass Fishing Ft. Lauderdale

Here's another example of the bass fishing experienced in the middle of September here in Ft. Lauderdale. The Everglades goes through the summer rainy season then the winter & spring dry season. Usually the water is high and hot and somewhat difficult for the average fisherman to catch big bass in late summer. This year has not been as bad for high water so some nice bass are still being caught in the Everglades. Here's a nice 5 1/2 lb. largemouth bass caught off alligator alley just last week. Florida Everglades Bass Guide

It's still great fishing in the Ft. Lauderdale area of the Florida Everglades. Each trip out has produced great results. Jonathan Johnson and I were out twice in June and really whacked the bass good. We caught in a half-day a few weeks back about 50 bass up to 5 lbs. before 10 a.m. We finally were chased off the water by thunderdstorms and the fishing was getting getting better. We must have caught 8 bass over 4 lbs. Check out new website at www.southfloridabassfishing.net or e-mail me at info@southfloridabassfishing.net for further bass fishing information. Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

It's still good in the Florida Everglades despite poor oxygen levels and rain fall. We've had three trips this week and boated over 200 largemouth mostly on the smaller side. If the rain would push some fresh water in the system the bigger bass will eat better. South Florida Everglades bass fishing and Lake Okeechobee produce some of the best bass fishing in America so come join us for a guided bass or peacock bass trip to Ft. Lauderdale or Miami areas of South Florida.

Florida Peacock Bass

This week we've had two peacock bass trips and they were a little slow because of low water quality and oxygen levels. We've had little rain until this week which should improve the water flow and fishing. Our trips still managed about 10 to 15 peacock bass per half-day trip which isn't bad considering the water. Here is Bob Hager's nice 5 lb. Peacock Bass from a Miami canal.

Florida Peacock Bass Fishing

Peacock Bass fishing in Miami has been real good over the last couple weeks. Tim Gray and Jonathan Johnson were out for alittle fishing last week and we boated 17 peacock bass up to 4 lbs. Tim caught this nice fish on a shiner but Jonathan refuses to ever use anything but artificial lures and it paid off for him because he caught the most. We guide in South Florida for largemouth bass & peacock bass from Ft. Lauderdale south to Miami, the Florida Everglades and Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing has been good lately. We guide on Lake Okeechobee and the Florida Everglades for largemouth bass and in Miami for Peacock Bass. Bass fishing will improve now that the rainy season is over and the temperatures are dropping quickly. South Florida offers such great opportunities for fishing and we have the only fishery for Amazon Peacock Bass in the country. E-mail us for more information at floridafishing@bellsouth.net or call us at (954) 445-1811.

Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

The Florida Everglades bass fishing has been pretty good lately considering the high water levels. Now that winter is here the water should drop everyday and improve bass fishing daily. Also the water temperatures will drop putting the big females into pre-spawn very soon. Here's a nice 5 lb. largemouth caught a few weeks back.

Peacock Bass fishing South Florida

The peacock bass fishing lately has been good in Miami considering we did have a slight fish kill over the winter. I'm seeing plenty of small peacock fry everywhere which means great fishing days to come soon. Over the last couple weeks we've had a few trip with approximately 15 to 20 fish cuaght each time out.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Guide

Lake Okeechobee is still producing some nice largemouth bass despite this unbearable heat we're having. Out on Monday this week we boated about 12 bass up to 5 lbs. on rattletraps and senko's in the Clewiston area of the lake. As the water and heat dissipate the fishing will become red hot this fall and winter.

South Florida Bass Fishing the Everglades

Robin Sullivan and his wife Jan were out last week from Alabama and caught about 75 largemouth bass in the everglades. It was hot and little wind for the first half of the day but as the day wore on the wind picked up and so did the fishing. Robin caught a couple nice fish with this nice 5 lb. fish and missed a monster that broke his line. What a day and a great sunburn they received but were quite pleased with the awesome day of fishing we experienced.

Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

Tim Gray and his parents were out for alittle mothers day surprise for Tim's mom. We boated about 50 largemouth bass but most were on the better size range with this nice 6 lber. Tim boated. We caught mostly everything on Senko's and big worms down deep. The fishing is good now and will get better if this rain holds off.

Everglades Largemouth Bass Fishing

We've gone out quite a bit lately and have had a blast catching a few hundred bass. Each trip should yield upwards of 100 largemouth. The South Florida canal system is teeming with bass and peacock bass. Now that summer is about here for us we can expect these numbers to get bigger along with the size of the bass. Everytime out we are now catching bass over 5 lbs. and this means the best bass fishery in America for numbers is on! All our fish have been caught on plastic artificials not live bait like other guide services are using.

South Florida Peacock Bass

Fishing in South Florida canals for largemouth bass and peacock bass remains good despite these cold days we've been having. Nighttime temperatures have been dropping into the high 30's. Peacock Bass usually do much better in warm to hot weather but as you can see by these last two posts fishing remains great. Mike Kenny landed this nice 5 lb. fish on January 2nd to start off his new year nicely. We landed about 25 peacocks for the days. We can be reached with up to date information about fishing in the Miami or Ft. Lauderdale areas at floridafishing@bellsouth.net or by the phone number listed on this page.

South Florida Peacock Bass Fishing

Jonathan Johnson and I spent a few days peacock bass fishing in the Miami canals last week. We had a nice time boated about 12 to 15 fish each day. Jonathan is so passionate about peacock bass he has one an aquarium at home in Ohio. Each fish Jonathan caught was either on a jig or topwater. The hotter the water the better this specie will bite. Springtime is the best time for getting big fish because they spawn for a few months in water less than two fish deep. If you are heading to South Florida's Ft. Lauderdale or Miami area give us a call to arrange how you can catch these beautiful butterfly peacock bass or largemouth bass on the wonderful Lake Okeechobee or the Everglades.

South Florida Peacock Bass

Peacock bass fishing in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale will be getting red hot now that the water has heated up. It's been cold over night that last few weeks so the peacocks have been somewhat slow. After that last week of hot weather we should start to experience great fishing for these great fish. Peacock bass need water thats hot to thrive and spawn. Below sixty degrees and peacock will die off. That's the main and only reason South Florida sustains a population of this specie other than Hawaii. South Florida Peacock Bass Fishing 7-22-08

Miami is still quite good now for Peacock Bass fishing even though it is incredibly hot and rainy. We were out today in the C-100 canal in a suburb of Miami called Pinecrest. Luis and I fished until 2:30 in the afternoon before the thunderstorms chased us off the water. We boated 22 butterfly peacock basas up to 6 lbs. with live bait and artificial lures. For information on booking a trip with us click the side links for for further information or e-mail me at floridafishing@bellsouth.net.

South Florida Bass Fishing 5-27-08

South Florida bass fishing for numbers is no better anywhere! The Everglades catch rate they say is 1.4 bass per hour. How does 12 or 13 per hour sound! That's the average we had on Tuesday May 27th landing 64 bass in just 5 hours plus many more missed. The Ft. Lauderdale area for largemouth bass between March and July is the best on the planet for total numbers of largemouth bass caught. The peacock bass fishing is also great as the water gets hotter like is right now. For more South Florida Bass fishing information click on these two links, Amazon Peacock Bass Fishing.
