Florida Peacock Bass Fishing

South Florida is the only place to catch largemouth bass and peacock bass from some of the same waters. This week Jake Bussolini from North Carolina and his brother-in-law from Chicago landed only ten peacock bass but they were quality fish with Ron boating a nice 4 lber. As our weather warms up now the peacock fishing will improve dramatically. South Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

It's been hot but far out on alligator alley of the South Florida Everglades you can still catch some largemouth bass if you can handle the heat. We fished for about five hours last week and landed about twelve largemouth up to 5 lbs. I had to work for them but patience paid off with this nice beauty. South Florida is usually difficult for catching any substantial size or quantity of fish this time of year because of high and hot water with low in oxygen. We've had rain but the water management has been able to keep water levels consistant which helps bass fishing. If you're planning a bass or peacock bass fishing trip to South Florida now's the time because it should only get better if we don't experince any major tropical weather systems. Our winter pattern usually begins in November.

South Florida Peacock Bass 7-1-08

It's still good fishing for South Florida Peacock Bass in Miami this week. Today Dan Paszynski and I were out in Miami and boated 26 peacocks with nice 5 1/2 lb. trophy that Dan caught. He also boated two more over 4 lbs. to make this an awesome day indeed! Dan caught all his fish on shiners while I used jigs. It's raining heavily now almost daily which good hinder fishing if they continue to pump the canals to much. But for now book a trip to Ft. Lauderdale or Miami and enjoy the only place in the U.S. to catch these beautiful butterfly peacock bass. We also guide in the Florida Everglades and Lake Okeechobee for largemouth bass. For information on any of these trips contact South Florida Fishing Adventures or Amazon Peacock Bass Fishing. We can be reached by e-mail at floridafishing@bellsouth.net or by phone at (954) 445-1811.

South Florida Peacock Bass

It's going to be a great week peacock bass fishing in South Florida around the Miami canal system. Today Lowell Shapley from Houston boated 30 peacock bass up to 5 lbs. It's his first day of two fishing for peacocks and he can't wait until tomorrow. We'll be heading back south again tomorrow to try and area I haven't fished this year. I'm sure we'll get them good again. For more information check out South Florida Fishing Adventures or Amazon Peacock Bass Fishing Florida.
