Florida Peacock Bass Guide Service

Here's Jonathan's nice peacock bass. He is the most devoted peacock bass fisherman I've ever met. He had two fish in his aquarium before he moved to Ft. Myers. Once he buys his bass boat he'll never get off the water! Amazon Peacock Bass is his life and I'm serious. Nice going Jonathan and you'll get that 6 lber this year I'm sure.

Florida Peacock Bass Fishing

Peacock Bass fishing in Miami has been real good over the last couple weeks. Tim Gray and Jonathan Johnson were out for alittle fishing last week and we boated 17 peacock bass up to 4 lbs. Tim caught this nice fish on a shiner but Jonathan refuses to ever use anything but artificial lures and it paid off for him because he caught the most. We guide in South Florida for largemouth bass & peacock bass from Ft. Lauderdale south to Miami, the Florida Everglades and Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing has been good lately. We guide on Lake Okeechobee and the Florida Everglades for largemouth bass and in Miami for Peacock Bass. Bass fishing will improve now that the rainy season is over and the temperatures are dropping quickly. South Florida offers such great opportunities for fishing and we have the only fishery for Amazon Peacock Bass in the country. E-mail us for more information at floridafishing@bellsouth.net or call us at (954) 445-1811.

Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

The Florida Everglades bass fishing has been pretty good lately considering the high water levels. Now that winter is here the water should drop everyday and improve bass fishing daily. Also the water temperatures will drop putting the big females into pre-spawn very soon. Here's a nice 5 lb. largemouth caught a few weeks back.

Peacock Bass fishing South Florida

The peacock bass fishing lately has been good in Miami considering we did have a slight fish kill over the winter. I'm seeing plenty of small peacock fry everywhere which means great fishing days to come soon. Over the last couple weeks we've had a few trip with approximately 15 to 20 fish cuaght each time out.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Guide

Lake Okeechobee is still producing some nice largemouth bass despite this unbearable heat we're having. Out on Monday this week we boated about 12 bass up to 5 lbs. on rattletraps and senko's in the Clewiston area of the lake. As the water and heat dissipate the fishing will become red hot this fall and winter.

South Florida Bass Fishing the Everglades

Robin Sullivan and his wife Jan were out last week from Alabama and caught about 75 largemouth bass in the everglades. It was hot and little wind for the first half of the day but as the day wore on the wind picked up and so did the fishing. Robin caught a couple nice fish with this nice 5 lb. fish and missed a monster that broke his line. What a day and a great sunburn they received but were quite pleased with the awesome day of fishing we experienced.

Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

Tim Gray and his parents were out for alittle mothers day surprise for Tim's mom. We boated about 50 largemouth bass but most were on the better size range with this nice 6 lber. Tim boated. We caught mostly everything on Senko's and big worms down deep. The fishing is good now and will get better if this rain holds off.

Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

Here's another great South Florida Everglades largemouth bass caught in April on alligator alley. This beauty weighed in at 8 lbs. Each trip out we're catching between fifty and hundred bass up to about 6 lbs. It really depends on the wind and clouds to how well the fish bite. The slower days will be without any wind at all and you'll jsut have to work alittle harder to catch them.

South Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

Here's another 5 lb. largemouth from the Florida Everglades system. We've seen a big improvement over the last couple weeks in the fishing and the weather. Cold night time temperatures have impacted the peacock bass fishing and largemouth fishing in all of South Florida. We had multiple fish kills of peacock bass, cichlids, snook and tarpon everywhere. But the Miami area and the canals of Ft. Lauderdale are fine and still producing quite well.

Everglades Largemouth Bass Fishing

We've gone out quite a bit lately and have had a blast catching a few hundred bass. Each trip should yield upwards of 100 largemouth. The South Florida canal system is teeming with bass and peacock bass. Now that summer is about here for us we can expect these numbers to get bigger along with the size of the bass. Everytime out we are now catching bass over 5 lbs. and this means the best bass fishery in America for numbers is on! All our fish have been caught on plastic artificials not live bait like other guide services are using.

Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

South Florida Everglades bass fishing is getting better daily as water levels will drop and warm up over the next few weeks. We've fished at least a half dozen times over the last couple weeks and have caught outstanding numbers and size bass up to 7 lbs. Each week will improve and the larger females will be done spawning and ready to eat anything that swims by. This is the time we all wait for in South Florida because the Florida Everglades in my opinion is the best bass fishery in the United States for numbers by far. E-mail us at floridafishing@bellsouth.net about fishing for peacock bass or largemouth anywhere in southern Florida.

Florida Peacock Bass Fishing

Peacock Bass fishing is still o'kay south of Ft. Lauderdale if you know how to catch them. Other guide services of South Florida like to copy and read our blog's because they can't catch them, you know who you are guys. Over the last couple weeks we've had multiple trips and landed several peacock bass in the 4 lb. range. Lenny Sortino from Boston who has been out with me many times landed this butterfly peacock bass that weighed 4 lbs. With the hotter weather here to stay the fishing will only improve over the next few weeks. E-mail me at floridafishing@bellsouth.net for further information on South Florida largemouth or peacock bass fishing.

Florida Peacock Bass Fishing

South Florida is the only place to catch largemouth bass and peacock bass from some of the same waters. This week Jake Bussolini from North Carolina and his brother-in-law from Chicago landed only ten peacock bass but they were quality fish with Ron boating a nice 4 lber. As our weather warms up now the peacock fishing will improve dramatically. Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

South Florida Everglades largemouth bass fishing has been nothing short of outstanding for numbers. Each trip will usually boat you about 75 to 100 largemouth bass. Most of these are on the small size with the occassional big female. Cold water fluctuations have caused the bigger fish to be alittle skittish but that should change any day now. Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

All I can say is the South Florida Everglades largemouth bass fishing is red hot and getting better daily. Over the last few weeks we've been out multiple times and boated 75 bass two weeks ago and today we landed about 140. The bass aren't to big yet but I'm seeing them everywhere which means they're spawning now. After the spawn the bass fishing in South Florida is going to explode. I've been fishing in South Florida since 1986 and I haven't seen so many largemouth before in my life. For more information about fishing the miami or Ft. Lauderdale area contact me by phone at (954) 445-1811 or at floridafishing@bellsouth.net .

South Florida Peacock Bass

Despite the minor fish kill in South Florida lately on some different cichlid species the peacock bass seemed to have faired o'kay. On Thurday January 28, Marcia and George Darnell from Coral Gables landed about 26 peacock bass and a few small largemouth up to 4 lbs. all on shiners. I'm quite sure the spring spawn will produce well this year and I would book early if you're interested in catching the part of the season. E-mail us for further questions about largemouth bass fishing the Florida Everglades or canal fishing for peacock bass in South Miami. We can be reached at floridafishing@bellsouth.net or by phone at (954) 445-1811.

South Florida Peacock Bass

Fishing in South Florida canals for largemouth bass and peacock bass remains good despite these cold days we've been having. Nighttime temperatures have been dropping into the high 30's. Peacock Bass usually do much better in warm to hot weather but as you can see by these last two posts fishing remains great. Mike Kenny landed this nice 5 lb. fish on January 2nd to start off his new year nicely. We landed about 25 peacocks for the days. We can be reached with up to date information about fishing in the Miami or Ft. Lauderdale areas at floridafishing@bellsouth.net or by the phone number listed on this page.

South Florida Peacock Bass Fishing

We been out only three times over the last two months fishing for bass and peacocks but have done quite well. In early November I had John White and Russ Erickson from Iowa. The guys landed over 40 peacock bass all on shiners from Miami's great fishery for these species. Within the first ten minutes of fishing John boated this great 7 lb. monster. This is a true butterfly peacock bass trophy fish.
