South Florida Bass Fishing 1-09-08

It's been great bass fishing in the Everglades and Miami lakes and canals over the last few days. On Sunday out of the Everglades we boated 42 bass up to 2 lbs. on senkos. Then today we were in West Palm Beach canals and boated 7 bass in a half-day to 4 lbs. The spawn is in full swing during full oon cycles so the bass fishing can be tricky. South Florida Bass Fishing Reports 1-6-08

It's been a great week for bass fishing in South Florida. Fishing out on alligator alley we boated 42 bass up to 2 lbs. on Sunday January 6th. Most of these bass were caught on senko style baits. The water levels are coming down which means the bass fishing is getting better by the day. With water temperatures rising and water levels dropping that means only great bass fishing to for South Florida anglers. Here a few pictures from the other days trip. South Florida Peacock & Bass Fishing Reports 12-4-07

Today we were out trying out some new canals we've never fished before for Peacock Bass. With a little cold front coming through this morning the Peacock Bass were tough in the morning. As the day went by though the Peacock Bass became active and the pictures show the day we had. We managed 12 nice Peacock Bass up to 5 lbs. Not bad for our first time on this different system. All of these fish were caught with rattletraps in very shallow water. This warm weather is improving our Peacock Bass and Largemouth Bass fishing from Lake Okeechobee all the way to South Florida in the Everglades for Bass. South Florida Bass Fishing reports 11-29-07

Richard Hart and his friend from London,England Ray were out for 2 days of Peacock Bass fishing in Miami. For 2 days they boated 44 peacock bass up to 4 lbs. Most of these Peacocks were caught on shiners and rattletraps. Richard has been down twice now and is looking forward to an Amazon trip for monster Peacock Bass in Brazil. This picture of Richard is after he fell over the seat fighting this Peacock. The bass fishing in the South Florida Everglades is starting to get good on the flats but you must cover water. The bass will chase surface frogs and flappin shad type baits fished fast.
