South Florida Bass Fishing 3-19-08

We decided to try Lake Okeechobee last week for the first time since hurricane Wilma struck in 2005. We headed south from Clewiston fishing the rim canal around Ritta Island and worked our way back. Together Mike Greico and I boated 15 largemouth bass up to four pounds. Mike and I both missed bigger fish at the side of the boat. South Florida Bass Fishing 2-24-08

Bass fishing in the South Florida Everglades is getting better daily. With the water levels being lowered for hurricane season the bass get flushed out of the marshes into the canals making them easily excessible. Topwater baits and senko style plastics are the baits I love to catch these fish on. I make a lot of homemade baits which is really a thrill to catch my fish with because I know nobody else has the same baits!
