South Florida Bass Fishing 8-8-08

While out peacock bass fishing in a canal of South Florida on Wednesday a young man pulled up along side us to ask if we had a scale to weigh this beautiful largemouth bass that weighed in at over 10 lbs. He also only had a camera phone with low resolution so we were able to get a few great pictures for his trophy big Bass. These canals of South Florida around the Miami & Ft. Lauderdale area are full of huge Largemouth Bass & Peacock Bass that are rarely caught. South Florida Peacock Bass Fishing

Fishing for peacock bass in South Florida in July & August has been wonderful despite unbearable hot air and water temperatures. The rain has also dirtied up the canals in most places but it usually only lasts about two to three days. Yesterday in Miami we had a trip with Scott Eynon and his son Steven. The guys landed 16 peacock bass in about 6 hours of fishing, that's real good for this time of year. Scott missed a real big one! For information on Everglades bass fishing or Lake Okeechobee contact us by e-mail at floridafishing@bellsouth.net . Peacock bass fishing should stay good through out the summer and we guide full-time everyday. Call us also at (954) 445-1811.
