South Florida Everglades bass fishing is getting red hot right now. Today I had Brent Hill from Nashville pitching senkos and Gambler Giggy heads in the canals and boating over 40 bass up to 6 lbs. With the water heating up and water levels starting to drop the largemouth bass fishing is improving daily. It's time to think about booking a bass or peacock bass trip to South Florida before all the rain starts and floods the marshes. Bass fishing in the Everglades this week has been quite good. Fishing on Tuesday and Wednesday has brought over 60 bass to the boat with three bass at 5 lbs. Paul Petan and his son Pauley Jr. had a nice day today out in the Everglades canals with Pauley bringing a 5 ft. alligator to the side of the boat. That's an experience he'll never forget! South Florida Bass Fishing 3-19-08

We decided to try Lake Okeechobee last week for the first time since hurricane Wilma struck in 2005. We headed south from Clewiston fishing the rim canal around Ritta Island and worked our way back. Together Mike Greico and I boated 15 largemouth bass up to four pounds. Mike and I both missed bigger fish at the side of the boat.
